Bristol Sands

Local Support

We know that attending your first support meeting can be daunting. Please call us first before attending, so we can talk you through what to expect and to ensure a warm welcome when you do attend. At Bristol Sands we offer two support meetings each month.

Pregnant Again Group Meeting

We know a subsequent pregnancy can be a very frightening time so we offer these meetings to talk about any concerns or worries you may have. These meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month from 7.30pm on Zoom. The link will be posted on either the day before or the day of the meeting on our social media pages.

Bereavement Support Meeting

This is an opportunity to talk about the loss of your baby or babies and to seek support from our Befrienders as well as other parents on a similar journey to you. These meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month from 7.30pm at The Management Offices (Ground Floor), The Mall, Cribbs Causeway, Merlin Road, Patchway, Bristol, BS34 5DG.

Mobile Support Number

We know that these meeting dates might not be suitable for you or you may wish to speak to someone today about your baby. Bristol Sands also has a dedicated mobile support number that is available to call for support outside of the support meetings we run. The number is - 07970 930513 and is manned by one of Bristol Sands trained befrienders. You can always access immediate support from the Sands Helpline team – their contact details are below.

In addition to the regular support meetings Bristol Sands also has a closed group page on Facebook. This can be found by searching for 'Bristol Sands - Closed Group'. This page is intended for information purposes and as a point of contact with Bristol Sands or others who have suffered a bereavement.

We offer a range of support, including direct peer support at local meetings, or telephone support by a trained peer befriender. There is also a wide range of resources available for free from Sands. These include:
