We anticipate that 'Treefest 2019' will be held at St Mary Redcliffe Church from 3rd-7th December 2019.
This is an annual event that is open to many local charities and organisations - Bristol Sands has taken part on the event for many years. It is an opportunity to decorate a Christmas tree in a way that highlights the aims and purposes of the group.
For Treefest 2018 Bristol Sands decorated our tree (see picture) with 105 pink and blue ribbons. The colours are the ones that signify the loss of a baby before, during or shortly after birth. Our tree was adorned with 105 of the handmade ribbons. The number 105 is significant to Sands, it represents the number (on average) of babies that die before, during or shortly after birth in the UK each week alone - a number that Sands is committed to help reducing.
There is an opportunity for visitors to vote for their favourite tree in the church.
If anyone has any ideas of how we should decorate our tree this year then please get in touch via our social media channels or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org
